The UK Town and Gown Association conference, billed as the biggest in the event’s history, is down to its last few tickets. The first two events – held in 2014 and 2016 at the University of Manchester and Nottingham Trent, respectively – saw more than 400 delegates from across the UK, Canada and America come together to share ideas, broker relationships and strengthen standards to support the student experience, regionally, nationally and internationally.
This year’s conference is set to take place at Queen’s University Belfast from Sunday 18-Tuesday 20 November, with organisers promising to provide delegates with an excellent range of breakout sessions, delivered by an extensive range of presenters. Many more speakers have been added to the Conference Programme, too.
Professor Ian Greer, Queen’s University Belfast ‘s President and Vice-Chancellor will deliver the keynote address, while other speakers include ITGA Executive Director, Beth Bagwell, and the University of Colorado’s Susan Stafford, offering a global perspective on campus-community challenges and leading practices. Other issues set to be discussed include combatting anti-social behaviour, information sharing agreements, community cohesion, and preventing and responding to sexual misconduct
For the first time, the opening day will see UKTGA offer a specific training and development package.
