Katherine Ryan to host WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2018

With more than 36,000 students across the UK having spoken, the shortlist for the Whatuni Student Choice Awards is complete

The Whatuni Student Choice Awards ceremony, where the results of the student vote will be revealed, is set to take place on the evening of April 19, hosted by the comedian, Katherine Ryan. It will follow a daytime event comprising a host of industry experts speaking on the theme of ‘What Students Want’. Confirmed speakers include Amatey Doku, Deputy President, NUS and Jim Dickinson, Chief Executive, UEA Students.

Student reviews have been collected from 130+ universities, with 43 institutions nominated across 15 categories. The shortlist is as follows:

Jonah Duffin, Chief Marketing Officer of Hotcourses Group, said: “Nothing sells the value of an institution to prospective students more than hearing from current students how fantastic their university experience is. This nomination is an invaluable marketing tool to institutions.”

Now in their fifth year, the WUSCAs provide prospective students with an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems. Here’s how the ceremony went down in 2017:
