Britain’s favourite maitre d’ hosts Dine&Date charity event

TV Celebrity Fred Sirieix plays cupid for University of Sheffield students

On 29 February, Fred Sirieix, best known for the Channel 4 series ‘First Dates‘ will host a one-off charity Dine & Date Event at Inox Dine for University of Sheffield students.

The University, working in partnership with Sheffield Residence Life, Sheffield RAG (Raising and Giving), Inox Dine and Sheffield Students’ Union, Fred will host 30 blind date couples in search of their soul mate. Lucky couples will be treated to a luxury and bespoke evening especially created by Fred complete with a three-course meal, with all proceeds going to Sheffield RAG.

“I am delighted to take part in a very exciting new charity event for the University of Sheffield with whom I have a long standing relationship with,” said Fred Sirieix. “It is a great opportunity to combine my passion for education and the art of service while allowing people to hopefully fall in love this 29th February.”

Sheffield Rag raises £185K for charity annually, with 85% going to local charities.
