Two new Pro V-Cs for Derby

Professors Judith Lamie and Malcolm Todd have been appointed as Pro Vice-Chancellors at the University of Derby

Professors Judith Lamie and Malcolm Todd have been appointed as Pro Vice-Chancellors at the University of Derby

These are two new roles for the University, with responsibility for External Affairs and Student Experience respectively.

Professor Lamie joins Derby from Middlesex University where she held the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor International. She will have responsibility for marketing, alumni, partnerships and international recruitment.

Professor Todd is currently Dean of the College of Law, Humanities and Social Sciences at Derby. In his new role he will have responsibility for ensuring a high quality and diverse student experience.

Both will start their new roles on 1 July.

Speaking about the new appointments, Professor Kathryn Mitchell, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Derby, said: “These are both crucial posts which are key to taking Derby forward as an institution. Judith and Malcolm’s substantial leadership experience and passion for education make them great assets for the University.”
