Raging Bull races into Gloucestershire

The University of Gloucestershire has partnered with local clothing firm, Raging Bull Sportswear, to supply a range of sportswear

Company founder, Phil Vickery MBE, is proud to announce that his exclusive sportswear brand, Raging Bull Sportswear, has won a two year contract to supply its range of sports clothing to the University of Gloucestershire. The University runs over fifty sports teams that require a branded team kit, both on and off the field. Offering students the widest choice in sporting activities, the University boasts clubs for all mainstream sports including football, netball and cricket as well as niche sports such as American football, cheerleading and Korfball!

In a contract that represents the single largest deal for the sportswear firm to date, Raging Bull Sportswear is delighted to partner with the University and provide branded wear for both sports students and staff. Building on a relatively new relationship that started earlier this year, Raging Bull Sportswear is already the approved kit supplier to the professional rugby league side, the University of Gloucestershire All Golds, who are extremely pleased with their new-look strip and doing well in their Kingstone Press Championship 1 league campaign, sitting fourth in the table.

Commenting on the contract award, University of Gloucestershire director of sport, Dr. Andrew Pitchford said: “Raging Bull ticks all our boxes as an established, proven clothing supplier that can meet the diverse and exacting needs of our University. We are very impressed with the performance and quality of the sportswear, and are pleased to be working with Phil and his company, from its regional office in Gloucester. Being associated with the brand’s rich sporting heritage and strong British personality is also a big positive, and has commercial value too.”

“The University continues to forge stronger relationships within the county and community, and working with like-minded local businesses certainly fits well with our approach. We have outlined a number of exciting joint activities in the coming year that will excite our students.”

Supporting world cup winner and company founder, Phil, is former Gloucester Rugby and fellow prop, Andy Deacon who is the regional sales manager at Raging Bull Sportswear.

Andy said: “Having enjoyed a great experience with the All Golds guys we knew our stability and expertise in delivering bespoke branded sportswear on budget and in time would meet the University’s requirements for their sports students and Students Union. The fact I am based just up the road from both campuses will allow us to deliver an excellent and responsive service which is already moving at pace as we head towards Fresher’s Week. We are working closely with the SU and club captains to design their kits ready for the September start.”

“Our agreement is more than just a clothing deal. We will be supporting the University with various student-based events and initiatives and of course a dedicated online shop. Phil is also taking a direct role in helping us to further both brands in the county,” Andy concluded.

The British designed sports ranges are manufactured at the company’s dedicated European factories in Lithuania ensuring excellent customer service and the keenest lead times.
