Campus Living Villages (CLV) has appointed higher education property specialist Martin Hadland (pictured) as its new UK commercial director.
Martin joins CLV from international real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle where over the past five years he has worked with a number of Universities carrying out strategic reviews for estates portfolios, supporting disposals and considering procurement options for new accommodation.
Prior to this Martin spent 15 years as a Director of Estates in the higher education sector working at City University, Brunel University and Middlesex University.
Martin has taken the lead advisor role on a number of University public-private-partnership projects including: University of Essex, University of Edinburgh, City University, University of Salford, University of Sussex, University of Hertfordshire, University of Gloucestershire, Goldsmiths College and the Royal College of Music.
Martin replaces Sean McKeown who is joining Arlington Advisers as Managing Director.
Gary Clarke, UK CEO of CLV said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Martin to our business. I expect the combination of his experience and insight into the specific needs of different higher education institutions will add immense value to our partners now and in the future.”
