Ben Wilson, Andy Lamb, and Kieron Broadhead will lead Communications, HR, and SE respectively, following external and internal advertisement and a competitive recruitment process.
Goldsmiths Registrar and Secretary Helen Watson welcomed the new Directors and looked forward to the work they and their teams will undertake.
She said: “I am delighted that we have identified three talented individuals who will help Goldsmiths evolve and grow.
“The new Directors are all inheriting experienced teams with excellent track records – and the ability to achieve even more.
“As a sector we face both opportunity and challenge over the coming years and I’m confident we have the right people in place to ensure Goldsmiths’ continued success.”
Ben joins Goldsmiths from the UK Supreme Court where he has been Head of Communications since 2012, leading public and media engagement for the most senior judges in the country.
He has overseen the handling of a large number of high-profile cases and helped position the Court as a world leader in judicial communications, including the use of social media channels such as Twitter and Instagram to build engagement.
Ben brings a wide range of experience in media relations and public affairs, including roles at the Church of England’s national press office and in consumer retail. He is an accredited practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Due to join the university later in the summer, Ben said: ‘Living locally to Goldsmiths, I have seen at first hand the positive impact this learning community has as a powerhouse for creativity, and a focal point for informing social change.

Andy has been at Goldsmiths since late 2013 and was most recently Deputy Director of the department.
He is a firm believer that HR engages with and supports our academic endeavour with all of our departments receiving full HR support and service. He enjoys working with colleagues at all levels and values the excellent relationships we have with our local UCU and Unison representatives.
Andy, who is now in post as Director, said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed to the role of Director of Human Resources at Goldsmiths as it is a truly special place to work.
“I am looking forward to leading the HR team to continuing to develop the staff experience to contribute to enhancing the student experience, and also contributing to ensuring we sustain Goldsmiths as an independent institution for the long-term. We’re a service department and we will always be grateful for feedback on the HR service and support we provide.”
Kieron joined Goldsmiths in 2007 from the University of Hull where he was Student Focus Project Manager. Since joining Goldsmiths he has held a variety of roles within student recruitment and student engagement, most recently holding the post of Director of Student Marketing, Recruitment & Engagement.
He enjoys working to support students to get the best they can out of their time here at Goldsmiths, and is looking forward to the many challenges that his new role offers.
Now in post, Kieron said: “I’m really excited to be taking on the new challenge that the role of Director of Student Experience & Academic Registrar presents. I think that it is the most exciting job at Goldsmiths and I’m hoping I can work with my team to listen and support academic departments, colleagues in the professional services, and most importantly our students.
“Goldsmiths has become very dear to my heart over the past ten years and I’m hoping I can use my energy to make it an even better place for students to be.’
