Today’s learning environment is more interactive than ever before. Technology and digital tools are transforming the way students learn, enhancing teaching across schools, colleges and universities. As a result, today’s tech-savvy students want to discover their own ways of learning using tools that facilitate creative collaboration, social interaction and group evaluation.
Research shows both lecturers and students are keen for increased interactivity in the classroom, with 97% preferring it in the learning space. Fifty-eight per cent of teachers said it increased engagement with students and 53% said it helped create a dynamic learning environment*.
A new collaboration solution
Introducing Sony Vision Exchange™ – a collaboration solution that encourages freedom and supports students with active learning. By bringing together students, lecturers and presenters in a dynamic workgroup-based environment, you can inspire knowledge exchange, creative dialogue and higher order thinking.
Scalable, flexible and easy to configure, Vision Exchange lets students work collaboratively, mirroring their own smartphones, tablets or laptops to a group screen. The lecturer can manage the session by monitoring each group’s content and share with other groups for further discussion.
Capture and share content
Increasingly, video content is becoming an important resource for educators. In response to this, Sony has partnered with UbiCast to make it easy for teachers to create and share rich media video for teaching and training applications including lecture capture and e-learning.
UbiCast orchestrates every phase of producing and delivering high-quality video content – from recording and editing to publishing, managing and user analytics. UbiCast works directly with Sony’s SRG Series remote PTZ cameras that capture crisp full HD video in classrooms, laboratories, lecture theatres and auditoriums.
