The professional association College and University Business Officers (CUBO) has invited non-members to join for free in a sector-wide effort to tackle the challenges posed by the coronavirus crisis.
“At times like this, widening the support network for all and having the fullest picture of what is happening in the sector is most important,” said Gillian Almond, CUBO chair and director of commercial services at Royal Holloway, University of London.
CUBO is offering free membership to all higher education institutes, with immediate effect, until 31 July 2020.
In doing so, the association aims to help HE professionals share information and “newly unfolding best practice” with a network of peers in an online discussion forum, access relevant resources and take part in upcoming virtual roundtables on dealing with the impact of Covid-19 on campus services now and in the future.
Membership is open to campus and commercial services professionals working in areas such as student accommodation, catering, hospitality, residence life, facilities management, sport, retail, security, conferencing and summer business. The opportunity represents a prorated saving of between £175 and £305.
