Richard succeeds Gary Clarke who is transferring to the company’s US division.
Gary Clarke has been responsible for the strategic leadership and management of CLV’s UK business since 2008. His focus for the next three years will be to lead and develop the company’s US business, while Richard Gabelich will lead the UK business and drive growth of the portfolio which now spans 15 different sites across England, Scotland and Wales.
Richard – currently CLV’s Fund Manager – has worked with the global head office in Sydney, Australia for nine years, successfully developing the company’s global footprint and working closely with CLV’s regional operations. Most recently, he has led and overseen all of CLV’s global funds management functions, setting its global strategy in conjunction with the Global CEO and the Board and has a depth of experience in capital raising and structuring, investment, compliance, governance and legal matters.

Away from CLV, Richard worked for the Australian private development company Transfield Holdings (the original sponsor of the CLV investment fund) and spent seven years in banking and finance, and corporate and commercial law, with national law firms Hunt & Hunt (Sydney), Minter Ellison (Sydney) and Kensington Swan (Auckland).

Since launching in 2008, CLV’s UK now accounts for 21% of the company’s global portfolio.
