Vicki’s career in HE spans 20+ years, covering the UK public sector, the international and private sectors, and as an assessor for the UK HE Quality Assurance Agency. Vicki is a specialist in contemporary learning and teaching, including digital education, online learning, innovative pedagogies, and inclusive curricula.

Rachel Soundy - Partner, Higher Education, Bevan Brittan LLP

Rachel has worked with Higher Education institutions and private providers to set up, reconfigure and collapse international student pathways for over 10 years. Her focus is ensuring that a pathway’s structure and legal agreements are aligned with her client’s commercial goals and regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Bevan Brittan, Rachel was a Legal Director at Eversheds Sutherland.

Julie Mercer - Principal, Nous

Julie is responsible for Higher Education in the UK. A graduate of the University of Bristol, Julie trained as an accountant with the National Audit Office where she also advised the C&AG and Public Accounts Committee on policy matters, including education. For the last 20 years Julie has worked with government, universities and the private sector to respond to policy and regulatory changes across the sector. She has worked with universities and pathway businesses on their international offer to students and in the development of strategic partnerships. In her previous role as Global Industry Lead for Education at Deloitte, Julie worked internationally advising governments, institutions, third sector and commercial organisations in the UK, Australia, Middle East, India and North America.
