Harper Adams Named University of the Year
Harper Adams University, a specialist institution based in Shropshire, England, has been named University of the Year for 2021.
The award from The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide is given annually to the university which offers the best combination of excellent teaching, great job prospects, outstanding facilities and an all-round excellent winning experience.
In particular, Harper Adams was praised for its impressive score for student satisfaction (80.5% compared to a national average of 76.7%) and for achieving an outstanding 86% score for graduate prospects.
Prof Laura Miles, Vice Chancellor of the university said: “We are incredibly honoured to receive this award and I’d like to thank our outstanding and dedicated staff for the enormous contribution they have made to achieving this success. We continue to pride ourselves on the support that we provide to our students, and this award reflects their success and hard work.

The judging panel commented on the university’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They highlighted key elements such as the variety of courses available, the active student union, and the diverse range of extra-curricular activities and volunteering opportunities.
The award is sure to boost the University’s profile and further solidify Harper Adams position as the premier university for specialist higher education.
