Students head to DIGS

DIGS has long been considered the leading choice for both current and prospective students when it comes to making accommodation choices

DIGS has long been considered the leading choice for both current and prospective students when it comes to making decisions regarding the all-important University accommodation question.

With accommodation choices shaping almost every student’s experience of university, ensuring that they pick the right place to live is essential; for this reason, South Street Asset Management has worked hard with both students and designers to re-design the DIGS website from the ground up.

The key for success with any student website is accessibility. Websites are no longer accessed solely from the computer at home and as such, it is essential that the full range of features offered by DIGS is retained and made accessible from both mobile devices and tablets on the move. The new DIGS site is led primarily through images and with less emphasis on text-heavy pages; the final design is incredibly intuitive and leads the user on a decision making pathway that ultimately ends with a prominent “book now” call to action.

Taking a step away from being a purely functional website, the DIGS website has always been synonymous with the use of social media interaction; the new website has been designed with social media firmly in mind and with a heavy implementation of the social media aspects that makes the DIGS brand so accessible and attractive to students. Encouragement to ‘share’, ‘like’ and ‘comment’ on all areas of the website and at every step of the decision making process helps to cement the DIGS brand as the leading choice for students.

At South Street Asset Management, we are incredibly proud of the DIGS brand and everything it achieves on a daily basis; we firmly believe the new website brings the DIGS brand to the forefront of the student accommodation market and surpasses the competition in every way.
