The Schoms Annual conference, which took place over three days at the University of Bath, was once again a great success providing a fantastic opportunity to share good practice, network and keep abreast of the latest developments in the sector.
The conference was opened by Professor Steve Egan, Vice President of Implementation at the University of Bath, and featured a presentation on audio issues by Shane Cryer, education concept developer at acoustics systems manufacturers Ecophon.
Highlights of the conference included a presentation from Professor Nigel John (University of Chester) who gave an academic application of technology – talking of his work in designing a virtual environment for training medical procedures.
The conference was rounded off with an interesting session from Mark Burden of the Welsh Video Network on their pilot project connecting Lync (Skype for Business) to traditional standards based video conferencing and other initiatives coming in this area.
All in all Schoms once again proved that their conference is a must attend event in the edtech calendar and we look forward to seeing what they put on for 2017!
