London-based student accommodation provider, Pure Student Living, opens newest and largest residence, Pure City

Located on Goswell Road, EC1, the 805 bed residence offers fully serviced high-quality student accommodation just six minutes’ walk from the Barbican tube station. Pure City is conveniently located within easy reach of many of London’s top universities and academic institutions and is also only a short walk from some of the more fashionable and bohemian areas of East London, such Upper street, Islington, Clerkenwell and Hoxton.

Pure City will join Pure Student Living’s existing portfolio of three other residences; Pure Hammersmith (Shepherds Bush Road, W6), Pure Highbury (Isledon Road, N7) and Pure Bankside (Ewer Street, SE1). All residences offer secure, high quality but competitively priced accommodation in sought-after locations in Central London.

This site was acquired for Pure from City University London in 2012 following receipt of planning consent for a scheme by TP Bennett Architects. The development replaces an outdated sports facility and poor quality accommodation with a state of the art new building providing 805 new student rooms, including en-suites, studios, two-bed apartments, and penthouse studios, as well as creating internal and external spaces for students to relax and socialise. Pure City also includes a new Sport England standard Sports Complex for City University of circa 30,000 square feet as well as much needed new teaching space for the university of 23,000 square feet.

The safety and security of their students is at the top of Pure Student Living’s list of priorities, and like all their residences, Pure City provides students with 24 hour security, allowing students to come and go as they please within a secure environment.

The rooms at Pure City are all offered within all-inclusive rent packages, which include water and electricity and broadband Internet and Wi-Fi. Rents are charged per person per week and rooms are available on both 51 week or 43 week contracts (at an extra £10/week en-suite – £15/week studio/2-bed apartments) for the 2014/15 academic year.
