Campus Living Villages (CLV) has unveiled the rebranding of its UK portfolio to My Student Village, introducing a set of cutting edge new websites and renaming seven Villages as part of its ongoing commitment to enhance the student experience.
The company has applied its unique ‘live, learn and grow’ ethos to the digital sphere, creating an online gateway via mystudentvillage.com to its portfolio of 60 villages across the United Kingdom (UK), Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Created by Gravitate – a US-based digital marketing and web design agency – each localised My Student Village site is designed to suit the needs of the modern student. Sites feature the latest in web design standards with prominent social media walls to increase community engagement, mobile first technology, a clean, visually appealing aesthetic, as well as integration with CLV’s resident management system and quicklinks for easy navigation.
The company developed the websites following in-depth market research into the different personas, demographics and journeys of student visitors to its websites in each territory. Insight from UK residents was used to specifically steer the rebranding of seven CLV sites in England and Wales:
- My Student Village: Birmingham (formerly ‘CLV Birmingham’)
- Bonington Student Village (formerly ‘Bonington Halls by CLV’)
- My Student Village: Leeds (formerly ‘CLV Leeds’)
- My Student Village: Liverpool (formerly ‘CLV Liverpool’)
- My Student Village: Manchester (formerly ‘CLV Manchester’)
- McMillan Student Village (formerly ‘McMillan Student Village by CLV’)
- Newport Student Village (formerly ‘Newport Student Village by CLV’)
Nadine Lee, Marketing Director UK, Campus Living Villages, explained: “We drew on input from CLV residents worldwide. Ultimately, they are the architects of our sites and the navigators of the overall user journey. Our villages are their home, their living space, their haven… our rebranding acknowledges this and ensures our digital offering will continue to match the same high level of tailored customer care we provide at every Village.”
“Student accommodation is already a competitive market and we are seeing more and more developers enter the space,” added CLV’s Global Head of Marketing, Shannon O’Connor. “With these new websites, we will not only improve the appeal of the existing sites, but will rank highly among our competitors, step up our customer service and offer something new and exciting to prospective residents.”
More than just a student accommodation provider, CLV prides itself on enhancing the student experience as a whole. Working closely with university partners, CLV has offerings ranging from comprehensive residential life programmes to free accommodation at international sites via its ‘go explore’ initiative.
