Who are AJ Products?
AJ Products (UK) Ltd. is a long-established supplier of office and workplace furniture, school furniture, lockers and changing room facilities, canteen furniture, shelving and racking, premises management equipment and much more. Our wide range features modern furniture with smart features designed to improve ergonomics, increase efficiency, inspire creativity and happiness, and last for many years. Our aim is to provide the right products at the right prices in order to be a one-stop shop for all your workplace needs.
How long has AJ Products been trading?
AJ Products was first established in Sweden in 1975 by Anders Johansson. The AJ Group is now represented by 26 companies across 19 European countries. AJ Products has been trading in the United Kingdom since 1999 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the parent company AJ Produkter AB. The office in Farnborough, Hampshire is home to our UK sales, marketing and accounts departments as well as 3000 square feet of storage space for our bestselling products.
While the AJ Group is still family owned, the company has been transformed from a small catalogue trader to a modern and international sales enterprise.
What does the AJ stand for?
The company is named AJ Products after our CEO and founder Anders Johansson who started the business aged just 19 and ran it from his parents’ basement in Hyltebruk, Sweden for the first three years!

There is extensive research to suggest that a sedentary lifestyle can lead to health conditions including obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and musculoskeletal problems. AJ encourages people to get fit while they work through our ever-growing selection of affordable sit-stand desks and active office furniture. Moreover, the company is uniquely situated to be able to help businesses across all sectors prioritise employee wellbeing as the solutions extend to all types of workplaces including workshops, manufacturing facilities and warehouses.

Can AJ Products visit me at my premises?
Yes, our project sales team are happy to come out to visit you to better understand your needs and help you with product suggestions and space planning. Once your goods are on order, we can organise installation and coordinate with other suppliers if necessary, to ensure your fitout goes seamlessly.
Where does AJ Products deliver?
AJ Products UK delivers to the whole of the United Kingdom. Delivery to mainland UK is free of charge (excluding Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands). While we are able to deliver to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, etc., unfortunately we do have to charge extra for delivery to these areas. We are not able to deliver outside of the United Kingdom, but our sister company AJ Products Ireland operates in the Republic of Ireland and the AJ Group is able to supply our goods to much of Europe.
What payment options are available?
Public institutions and limited companies can choose to open a credit account with us and pay by invoice with 30-day terms. Schools, NHS and any government-run institution are eligible for instant credit. For limited companies, we will ask you to fill in a credit application and then a credit check will be done to ensure that we can offer you a credit account. We also welcome payment by credit card, debit card and purchase card, or in advance by company cheque or BACS.
Does AJ Products manufacture its product range?
Yes, we manufacture a large part of our product range ourselves in our two European factories. AJ Furniture Factory in Poland produces the vast majority of our wooden furniture including the office furniture ranges and canteen furniture. AJ Metal Design in Slovakia manufactures many of our metal products from shelving and pallet racking to cabinets and lockers. This allows us to create the products that our customers want and need based on designs and recommendations from our in-house design department. The close relationship between product development and our factories is a huge strength for AJ, allowing us to stay at the forefront of new product design and maintain high quality levels while minimising our environmental footprint.
We supplement this by choosing the best manufacturing partners from around the Europe and the UK to join our own manufactured products in order to be a brand that customers can rely on for quality and choice.
Is AJ Products ISO accredited?
Yes, we are proud to say that our parent company, AJ Produkter AB, which supplies the majority of the products in our range, has achieved ISO accreditation ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. That is to say, AJ Produkter AB has a quality system that fulfils the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 with respect to: Purchase, storage and sale of products and accessories for office interiors and material handling. It also has an eco-management system that fulfils the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 with respect to: Purchase, storage and sale of products and accessories for office interiors and material handling.
Is AJ Products environmentally friendly and sustainable?
At AJ Products, we always think about the environment when we create new products and place high demands on our suppliers to stay at the forefront of environmental consciousness. We take our environmental impact into consideration throughout the whole of our business including manufacturing, warehousing, packaging, delivery and in our offices across Europe. We strive to constantly improve our environmental management in line with the strict ISO guidelines.
On selected products in our range we work with an assortment of quality and environmental labels including Nordic Swan Ecolabel, Möbelfakta, Byggvarubedömningen and SundaHus. By allowing our processes to be evaluated by third parties, we can demonstrate our commitment to sustainable development.
AJ Products’ work on sustainable development is based on the UN Global Compact Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. AJ Products requires all of our suppliers and business partners to conform to these principles.
