One of the key speakers is Edward Griffiths, Deputy Master of the Royal Household.

Edward Griffiths CVO, joined the Royal Household in 2001 as Deputy Master, and is responsible for all Hospitality and Internal Operations, within the Occupied Palaces (Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse and St James’s Palace). He sits on the Royal Household Wine Committee, which includes an external board of advisors made up of Warrant Holders and Masters of Wine. He is also responsible for the interior upkeep, interior decoration and restoration projects for the Occupied Palaces.
After completing his early training at the Dorchester hotel in London and with Mövenpick in Switzerland, he spent eight years in South Africa in various management positions in Five Star establishments for Southern Sun Hotels, working on new Hotel openings in the latter part of that period. On his return to the UK, he joined the Roux Brothers, initially to manage the set up of their Contract Catering Division, and then as Managing Director of the Restaurant and Contracting Company from 1986.
With the acquisition of the corporate catering company by Compass Group Plc in 1994, he then became Managing Director of Roux Fine Dining Ltd., whilst continuing to remain on the Board of Roux Restaurants Ltd.
Edward is very keen to promote the importance of service and front of house skills in the industry and to encourage more young people into this profession.
