Organised by The University of Sheffield and held at Sheffield City College, the conference attracts professional chefs from across the UK and Europe.
David McKown, from The University of Sheffield, commented: ‘The last time we had an international chefs at conference was over 10 years ago, I’m delighted that this year we have four globally renowned chefs presenting at the conference.’
The line-up includes 2 Star Chef Jordi Cruz from Spain, Angel Salvador also from Spain, Martin Lippo from Argentina and Cem Erol from Istanbul. Cem Erol is the Executive Chef instructor at MSA, The Culinary Academy of Istanbul and he will also be one of the judges for the final of UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year that takes place on the eve of the Conference.
The winning team will win a prize that includes at trip to Istanbul. The finalists include Sheffield City College, Liverpool City College, Norwich City College, SRUC Scotland and Stoke By Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa. The winning team will be announced at a Gala Dinner to be held at Inox Dine at The University of Sheffield on 10 July. The Gala Dinner is being created by a team of Chefs from Inox Dine and Sheffield City College.
