UB January edition out now

The January edition of University Business magazine is now available to download

Posted by Rebecca Paddick | December 16, 2015 | Events

In the latest issue of University Business magazine, we ask some of the sector’s experts, how will HE tackle the big issues that lie ahead? As Paul Feldman, new chief exec at Jisc, says: “While 2015 may have been the year in which UK government set its stall for the biggest transformation of the sector since 1992, the enormous task we now face is delivering its vision.”

The spotlight is on University of Wales Trinity Saint David this month, as it unveils extensive development plans for the multi-million pound Innovation Quarter.

Also in this issue, our editor, Rebecca Paddick, interviews FutureLearn CEO Simon Nelson, where he explains all about the social learning platforms plans for future growth, and also discusses the evolution of MOOCs.

Continuing the Equality in HE series, the University of Derby’s first female VC, Professor Kathryn Mitchell, talks about her rise to the top, and how Derby will develop over the coming months.

If all that wasn’t enough, we’ve got updates from ASRA, CUBO and VWV, as well as some top opinion pieces from the Bath Spa University and the Russell Partnership’s David Russell.

Every issue of UB is packed with the latest news including:

*Campus services and new developments
*People and appointments
*Key association updates
*Opinions and views
*HE catering
*Education technology
*Events and diary
