NTU appoints Dean of science school

Prof Mary O'Neill becomes Dean of the School of Science and Technology at Nottingham Trent University

Professor Mary O’Neill has become the new Dean of the School of Science and Technology at Nottingham Trent University.

She joins from the University of Hull where she was Professor of Physics and had previously held the role of founding Head of the Department of Physics and Mathematics. She also led the Organophotonics group, an interdisciplinary team investigating novel organics and nanomaterials for application in photonic and electronic devices.

The previous Dean of the School of Science and Technology, Professor Martin McGinnity, now sits on the University Executive Team, as Head of the College of Science and Technology and Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs.
