From her current role as Chief Executive of Universities UK, Nicola will bring to the Office for Students (OfS) extensive experience and expertise across the higher education sector, together with a strong legal background, experience of working with Government, and a track record on equality and diversity issues.

Madeleine Atkins, Chief Executive of HEFCE, said:

“I am delighted with the appointment of Nicola to this vital role. With her deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities right across the sector, I have every confidence that she will make the Office for Students a highly effective organisation and one which will work in the interests of students. I look forward to working with her, and with colleagues in the Office for Fair Access, as we prepare for the transition to the OfS in the spring of 2018.”

Tim Melville-Ross, Chair of HEFCE, said:

“The appointment of the Chief Executive designate is a major step forward in establishing the Office for Students, and I warmly welcome the appointment of Nicola Dandridge to this vital role, given her outstanding knowledge and experience of the sector.”
