YourGuarantor are pleased to announce that King’s College London join The University of Essex as the latest university to adopt our service, enabling them to act as UK Rent Guarantor for their international students renting in the private sector.

YourGuarantor builds on the concept of UK universities acting as guarantor by providing them with the insurance protection & administration platform they need to overcome the limitations inherent in existing schemes.

Christopher Shelley, Director of Student Services at King’s says: 'In delivering our rent guarantor scheme, YourGuarantor enables us to manage our risk. With over 8,000 overseas students, it also provides us with the scope & scale our institution require.'

The service provides protection, in the form of an insurance policy, to the university in the event a student defaults on their rent. Each guarantee that is provided by the university is added to the insurance policy to ensure that the university is fully protected. The premium for the insurance policy is covered by the fee paid by the students who sign up.  The YourGuarantor’s platform handles 90% of the administration process.

YourGuarantor is in the process of partnering with a number of UK universities including a number of Russell Group institutions. If you would like to learn how we can help you deliver a UK Rent Guarantor scheme to your students do get in touch, we’re only a phone call away.
