Facilities Management 2016 is just around the corner
A packed programme awaits at the NEC for the UK's only large scale and multi-site facilities event
Facilities Management 2016 returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 22 – 24 March, with a new seminar programme, a packed hall full of leading suppliers and top industry speakers.
The facilities market is increasingly competitive, currently estimated to be worth £111 billion a year to the UK economy. With this in mind, the new Facilities Management 2016 seminar programme has been specially designed to address the core issues that affect facilities professionals.
This year, visitors will be presented with over 25 free-to-attend, educational seminars focusing on three key themes – People, Politics and Policy.
Innovation will, as always, be at the heart of the show as some of the biggest suppliers from across the UK will be using Facilities Management 2016 to launch their products and services. Tradepoint, Disposables UK, Service Master, IRTS, NVC Lighting and Schneider Electric are just some of the names on board.
Higham Roofing will use the show to exhibit its ‘HighScan’ drone survey. This provides a sustainable and cost effective approach to scientifically measuring the condition of flat roofs, in order to detect wet insulation, defective insulation, lack of insulation and thermal performance of the roof and its components.
Paramount Security Group will be displaying its bespoke, integrated security solutions, including its range of security gates, traffic barriers and the control systems that go with them.
Panda Group will be presenting its comprehensive buildings’ maintenance services. It will encompass Reactive and Planned Maintenance, alongside Project Works.
Gritting.com will be using Facilities Management 2016 to demonstrate its gritting service for winter maintenance.
DTS Solutions will be showcasing its extensive range of two-way radio solutions. This will include simple radio to radio communication systems, or a system featuring GPS, lone worker protection, fire alarm and telephone integration.
Lutterworth Ecolighting will be highlighting its energy saving light fittings used in public sector locations such as community centres, sports halls and car parks.
Safer Access Solutions will be showing its range of solutions, which solve complex and costly access problems. These include the services of facade cleaning, gutter cleaning, banner installation and removal, plus the installation of the complete range of bird deterrent systems.
Of all the facilities management services, cleaning is the most likely to be re-tendered or re-scoped at contract end and consequently buyers are always interested in meeting new suppliers. To meet this need, Facilities Management 2016 will also feature the Cleaning Zone, which provides a dedicated area for those buying cleaning products and services. This year the Cleaning Zone will also welcome The Hill Club, which provides an open forum for FM professionals with a wider cleaning remit, to share best practises and network with likeminded individuals. This will take place on Wednesday 23rd March from 14:00 to 16:00.
The remit of a facilities manager is getting wider, with more skills and knowledge expected to be incorporated within the basic role. Facilities Management 2016 is committed to providing its visitors with an experience to reflect this change, therefore it will once again renew its co-locations with Maintec 2016, the UK’s leading maintenance, plant and asset management event, and the Health and Safety event. Visitors will be able to access all three shows with one badge, offering relevant free-to-attend seminars and masses of show floor entertainment.
