Are you ready for the data revolution?
Don’t miss our webinar with HE data specialist, Andy Youell
Data is playing an increasingly important role in higher education funding, regulation and policy across the UK. HE providers that wish to successfully navigate the data revolution need to consider their data capabilities and change their attitudes and behaviours towards the value of data.
We’re excited to have Andy Youell on the AGILIT-e panel to hear his thoughts on the HE data landscape. Andy has been at the leading edge of data issues across higher education for over 25 years. Here’s a bit more about him:
Following time at PCFC (Polytechnics and Colleges Funding Council) and HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council for England), he joined HESA in 1996 and soon took responsibility for the development of their data collection systems. In 2013, he was appointed Director of HEDIIP (Higher Education Data & Information Improvement Programme). HEDIIP created a new architecture for the higher education data landscape which is now being implemented through the HESA Data Futures programme.
So, who better to join Capita’s Susan Wignall and Karen Rawson to discuss how higher education institutions can prepare for data-driven change? Andy says:
“The HE sector has used data for decades. It flows around our institutions driving processes and storing information; it gives us intelligence and insight and it is used by sector bodies to produce statistics, monitor policy and calculate funding allocations. But the sector is on the brink of a step-change in its relationship with data and providers need to consider how they are going to respond.”
