The latest innovative resources and solutions will be on display for visitors to explore, so attendees are sure to leave with the inspiration and ideas needed to make their schools even more enriching.
The content of this year’s show will address pivotal issues including the teacher recruitment and retention crises, how to bring the curriculum to life, assessment and the abolishment of levels, student wellbeing, budgets and financing, equality in education, behaviour management, e-safety, and methods of collaboration – as well as, of course, creativity in education.
Learning resources and guidance
The three-day event will once again give teaching professionals the opportunity to touch and test hundreds of resources and products, from over 300 exhibitors, all offering a wealth of knowledge and experience in their field. They will come away with a refreshed knowledge of what’s new in the market, and what tools are available to enhance the educational experience of all students. Just a few of these exciting resources are outlined below…
● MDB Tuition’s Tackling Tables (stand H85): Tackling Tables is a simple, innovative and effective way for schools and parents to help children learn and apply times tables facts. By the end of Year 4 (age nine), the National Curriculum expectation is that all children should know their times tables and the corresponding division facts ‘off by heart’. Tackling Tables uses three colour phases to make this ideal a reality! By regularly playing the Tackling Tables cards, children will not only learn their tables, but also understand the relationship between multiplication and division.
● Picture News (stand H91): Picture News makes assemblies simple. Each week, it chooses a current news story, turns it into a vibrant A2 poster with a thought-provoking question, and provides an assembly plan based upon key values. Key Stage 1 and 2 focus cards are then sent to the school so these assemblies can be easily delivered.
● Speech Link Multimedia (K74): Speech Link Multimedia has over 10 years’ experience of supplying standardised assessments, targeted interventions and resources for children in over 3,000 schools in the UK and internationally. Its online service packages, Language Link and Speech Link, are used to identify and support children with mild-to-moderate speech or language difficulties. Nearly 100,000 children are screened each year using its packages. The assessments, resources and support are designed by speech and language therapists and specialist teachers. It works on the belief that the best indicator of how a child will cope with school is their understanding and use of spoken language.
Free CPD and training
As always, visitors will have access to an extensive programme of free continuing professional development (CPD).
The peer-led programme brings together expert teachers from across the UK to share their experiences, ensuring teachers get as much out of the event as possible.
This year’s show welcomes a number of education visionaries who will be speaking across four different theatres. Visitors are invited to be inspired by high-profile speakers such as the esteemed ballerina, Darcy Bussell, and share their thoughts on some of the most challenging topics currently facing educators and children in the UK.
