Restaurant Wars followed Aiden and Simon Rogan during the opening of two very different fine dining restaurants in Manchester.

With a budget of over £5m to create Manchester House in Tower 12 in Spinningfields, two stunning independently different environments have now been created, The Lounge on Level 12 and The Restaurant, run by Aiden, on Level 2.

Aiden has designed an exciting menu that features some dishes from his winning appearance on TVs Great British Menu.

David McKown, Director of Skills for Chefs commented: “Chefs attending the conference will be able to engage in lively debate with Aiden and also see him demonstrate some outstanding dishes from the menu at Manchester House.”

Talking about the new venture, Aiden said: “Manchester House lives it up in a kind of dressed down way, fine cooking served in an informal, fun way. For us it’s about the customer loving their time with us, eating well, trying new things and enjoying a bit of what they love.”

At the age of 22, Aiden Byrne became the youngest chef ever to win a Michelin star. He was head chef at The Grill at The London Dorchester from late 2006. He was previously Tom Aiken's head chef at his Chelsea restaurant and has worked with several other high-profile chefs such as Paul Rankin and David Adlard.

Aiden has also worked at Pied à Terre in London, Adlard's in Norwich, Peacock Alley and the Commons in Dublin, and Danesfield House in Buckinghamshire.

Also appearing at the Skills for Chefs Conference is Jordi Cruz from Barcelona who was the seconding youngest chef in the world to win a star. David McKown added: “To have both Aiden and Jordi at the same conference is creating a real buzz in the industry.”

The star studded line-up does not stop there, also appearing is Michelin starred Paul Ainsworth, Paul Gayler MBE, Mick Burke, Eric Snaith, Angel Salvador, Martin Lippo and Cem Erol from Istanbul.
