Going going gone in Leeds

Going Going Gone was the apt title of this year's temporary exhibition of work by final year students from Leeds College of Art

The event was held at both of the College’s Blenheim Walk and Vernon Street sites this June.

The College’s buildings were transformed into large exhibition spaces where visitors could view the latest creative talent from across the College; everything from giant sculptures, paintings, prints, textiles, design, animation, photography, advertising and fashion.

Visitors could even purchase prints and artwork at ‘The Art Market’ which was run by students, selling their work for the duration of the exhibition.

Amber Smith, Programme Leader BA (Hons) Graphic Design commented: This year’s BA (Hons) Graphic Design show explored the theme of colour with a focus on the exploration of media and production methods, the show has been received well by industry with many agencies visiting along with alumni. The students will now exhibit a selection of their work in London at the D&AD’s New Blood festival, which gives a greater opportunity to engage with industry and aims to showcase and nurture tomorrow’s creative talent."
