ASK4 confirms exclusive partnership with BT Sport

Hundreds of student communities set to benefit from access to premium sports coverage through the ISP.

Internet Service Provider ASK4 will be bringing students closer to the action this Autumn thanks to an exclusive deal with BT Sport.

The partnership will mean that residents of the purpose built student accommodation currently enjoying ASK4’s superfast broadband and WiFi will soon be able to access premium sports content from BT Sport such as the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Europa League, Emirates FA Cup, Aviva Premiership Rugby, UFC, NBA Basketball, Major League Baseball, World Title Boxing, Moto GP and much more.

And with the football season kicking off this month, plus a huge variety of other international sports events broadcast throughout the year, ASK4 is all set to provide a new season of sport to hundreds of thousands of students in residences throughout the UK.

Vita Student will be the first of ASK4’s accommodation partners to take advantage of the deal between ASK4 and BT Sport, which offers accommodation operators access to BT’s four sports channels at highly competitive rates – offering significantly better value than other premium TV sports service providers. The service will be included within residents’ monthly rent and there will be no restrictions on where within the building BT Sport can be shown.

Speaking of the deal ASK4 Founder and CEO, Jonathan Burrows, commented:

“We’re delighted to partner with BT Sport to provide our users with access to live sports coverage. Whether residents congregate around TVs in social spaces, or watch on their own devices, providing BT Sport is a great way for accommodation operators to enhance a sense of community and create engagement with and between residents. It is also another way to help operators stand out from the crowd in an increasingly competitive student accommodation marketplace.”

Bruce Cuthbert, Commercial Customer Director, BT Sport, said:

“We’re pleased to be working with ASK4 to bring BT Sport’s incredible sporting line-up to students in a way which reflects how students want to access TV today and the unique requirements of student accommodation.  With a compelling schedule seven days a week, residents will be able to enjoy a huge array of  top flight domestic and international sport including Premier League and UEFA Champions League football, Aviva Premiership rugby, UFC, BT Sport Fight Night Live, US sports, Moto GP and even e-sports, both in their own rooms and in the communal areas.”

Commenting on the service, Vita Student Managing Director, Lee McLean said:

“We have students from across the world staying with us so offering BT Sport is a great addition to their package and means they can now watch all the sport they want from their home countries.”
